Within the scope of the study program, the delegation visited the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Construction Technology with the construction engineering system and smart city management; had a talk on smart cities; visited Seoul Smart Exhibition Hall, Traffic Information Center, smart eco-village in Busan city; attended seminars to exchange smart cities issues and experiences of Korea applied to Vietnam.

Talk about smart city in Incheon city
Representative of the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation of the Ministry of Construction. As one of Asia's leading countries in smart city development in the Smart Nation building strategy, Korea has had many successes in planning, traffic management, and resident management and readily shared valuable practical experiences with Vietnam.

At the workshop, the officials in the delegation had questions and ideas on smart cities development such as: short-term training in Korea for local officials, G2G cooperation Bucheon city with a Vietnamese city (network city); water supply management; water circulation management; intelligent traffic data management to improve air quality; Smart Parking system development using solar power in Vietnam; intelligent system for inventorying greenhouse gas emissions in urban areas; cooperation framework strategy; coordinate with businesses to develop smart technology solutions based on solar energy for urban projects; drainage management against flooding; research, development and production of technical equipment, installation of an environmentally friendly waste collection and classification system; smart waste treatment system development…
Through the field trip, the delegation of the Ministry of Construction had ideas for cooperation with Korea through the Vietnam-Korea Cooperation Center on smart urban development and construction technology. The Center will have activities to strengthen training capacity, exchange technology on smart cities, and support Vietnam in improvement of institutions and laws on smart city development, application of construction technology, and good management for sustainable urban development in Vietnam in the future.
