Delegation of the Ministry of Construction and the National Assembly Economic Committee visited the Embassy of Vietnam in the Republic of Austria.
To mark the 79th Anniversary of National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024), Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi and the delegation visited the Embassy of Vietnam in the Republic of Austria. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Nguyen Duc Linh, a representative of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Austria, along with other staff members of the Embassy.
Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi was pleased with the good and comprehensive development in all areas of the Vietnam - Austria bilateral relationship, including the efforts and important contributions of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Austria. The Minister said that the purpose of this visit of the Ministry of Construction and the National Assembly's Economic Committee to the Republic of Austria is to exchange experiences in law-making in the fields of urban planning, construction, and architecture, contributing to the implementation and deepening of the nearly 52-year cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Austria.

Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi and his delegation had a meeting with Mr. Norbert Totschnig - Federal Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Regional Management and Water Resources of the Republic of Austria.
On the afternoon of September 2nd, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi and his delegation had a meeting with Mr. Norbert Totschnig, the Federal Minister for Agriculture, Forestry, Regional Planning, and Water Management of Austria. They exchanged updates on their respective countries situations and discussed ways to enhance and deepen the longstanding friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Austria.
Minister Norbert Totschnig shared some information about the legal system on planning management in the Republic of Austria, on coordination in spatial research, spatial planning and development and regional policy, including coordination of regional programs within the framework of the European Union's structural funds.
Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi suggested that the two ministries continue to share information and management practices and foster practical, effective collaboration between construction businesses in both countries.

Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi had a meeting with President of the Vienna State Parliament Ernst Woller.
As part of the business trip, on September 3, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi and his delegation had a meeting with Mr. Ernst Woller, President of the Vienna State Parliament. The meeting also focused on sharing experiences in urban planning, architecture, and leveraging Vienna’s strengths in urban management, environmental protection, and heritage conservation.
President of the Vienna State Parliament Ernst Woller expressed his pleasure at the visit of Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi and members of the delegation. The two sides discussed and clarified a number of issues of interest to the Vietnamese delegation and shared some experiences in managing urban planning, architecture, and social housing in the Republic of Austria.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi and President of the Vienna State Parliament Ernst Woller believed that in the coming time, the two sides will have more favorable conditions to expand cooperation, thereby making practical contributions to promoting the cooperative relationship between the two countries.
During the working trip, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi and the delegation also make a survey to evaluate urban planning in the Republic of Austria and some typical architectural works in Vienna.
