Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Vietnam
The good traditional friendship relationship between Vietnam and Indonesia has been built for nearly 70 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations (December 30th, 1955) on the solid foundation established by President Ho Chi Minh and President Sukarno and constantly cultivated and developed by generations of leaders and people of the two countries. Ambassador Denny Abdi also highly appreciated the achievements of Vietnam in general and the Vietnamese Construction industry in particular; and expressed his hope to expand the cooperation with the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction in the coming time.

Speaking to welcome Ambassador Denny Abdi to visit and work at the Ministry of Construction, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi also agreed with the Ambassador on the need to further strengthen cooperation between Vietnam and Indonesia in the field of construction, developing urban infrastructure, housing (including housing for low-income people), promoting cooperation and investment between construction enterprises of the two countries.
Vietnam and Indonesia are both countries affected by climate change and sea level rise, so the two sides need to promote cooperation in the field of urban development adapting to climate change, towards sustainable development. Expanding and strengthening cooperation between Vietnamese Ministry of Construction with the Indonesian Construction industry and agencies and partners will contribute to promoting the traditional friendly cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi emphasized that the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam is always interested in and creates conditions for Indonesian organizations and businesses as well as international organizations and businesses to expand investment and cooperation in Vietnam, under the Vietnamese legal regulations. Specialized units under the Ministry of Construction were assigned to coordinate and discuss with the Indonesian Embassy on specific cooperation programs of the two sides in the coming time.
